HP8750 versus Canon 9000 Pro

Both these printers seem to be aimed at the same market, 13by19 inch prints using dye inks rather than pigment inks.

At London Drugs, a chain in Western Canada where I live, the HP is CDN$500 and the Canon is CDN$700.

Does anyone have any experience with both these machines?

I currently have an HP 7960 (8.5 by 11 inches), which I really like, but I have heard that the Canon 9000 Pro gives brilliant colors and is generally better than my present HP. If true, is it CDN$200 better than the HP8750?

Over the years I have owned it I have never, ever had a clog with the HP 7960, even though I print only occasionally, 20 or 30 prints every few months. I gather that this is due to the 7960 having a print-head built into each ink cartridge. I have not been able to discover whether the HP8750 also has a print-head built into each ink cartridge. I presume that the Canon has separate ink cartridges and print-heads.

Any help would be much appreciated.
