Question about color profiles
While not essential, having an accurate color profile will generally give a more accurate color rendition. However, be advised that a printer profile describes a printing system, meaning the printer, ink and paper. The printer profile needs to take into account the printer make/model, type of ink, and type of paper being used. In other words, you can't take an Epson profile for a specific paper type and use it with your Canon printer (different printer & inks). Some paper manufacturers do supply profiles for specific papers for popular printers.
