Question about color profiles
I bought a Canon Pixma IP4300 after my Epson R220 died. I had a pack of Epson Premium Glossy photo paper left from my Epson. I printed a few pictures on this paper with the Canon and when I compared to the same pictures I printed earlier with the Epson, the Canon prints have sort of a red haze over them. I am sure this must be caused by the Canon, because I printed the exact same files as with the Epson. I did some research on the net and found that there exist something as color profiles. Apparently, each kind of paper needs its own color profile? I think the Epson installation CD had the right profiles for Epson paper and the Canon profiles are not suited for Epson paper. Am I correct? Are there paper manufacturers who also supply color profiles for dedicated printers? Any advice will be highly appreciated.
