If you want to have less noise and artifacts on yours photos made at 1600 and 3200 ISO, just set the sharpness to SOFT and push your histogram to the right side (attention at highlights clipping!).

The soft mode seems to be the default mode at F30. Curious, I tested that mode on my 6500 and I am happy now that the camera makes quality photos like F30, at 1600 and 3200 ISO.
