Street Photography in Playa del Carmen, Mexico

Good afternoon everyone.

I just returned from spending a couple of weeks in the Riviera Maya of Mexico.

One thing I wanted to do was street photography.

So one day, I headed out into the less touristy area of the town of Playa del Carmen. I wandered around an area called the Colosio. This is a lower class, poorer neighbourhood where the working folks live. To me, that's where you find the heart and soul of a town.

I found exactly what I was looking for. I think I captured some of the best photos I have ever taken.

To access the pictures, please go to my PBase site at the link below. Go into the "Vacationing in the Riviera Maya" gallery and then into the gallery for the April 2007 trip.

Once there access the "A Walk Through the Colosio" gallery. Feel free to look at the other gallery from this last trip as well, but be warned that it only contains a few snapshot-type pictures at the moment. Although one may be of interest to some members

I will be posting more photos as I get them processed. So if you like what you see, stay tuned for more.

Of course, comments and critiques are welcomed and much appreciated.
