Re: Tamron 28-75 f2.8 XR or Nikon 85mm f1.8D?

Sorry, not had time to read the other posts on this subject,

But boy what a comparison.

I've had both, but kept my 85mm 1.8 only because I replaced the Tamron with the Nikkor 28-70 f2.8

In all honesty I would say get both, They are excellent and even the Tamron compares very well to the Nikkor 28-70.

But if you had to go for one only, it depends on what you have already. Certainly the Tamron is the more versatile, but I have heard you have to be careful of quality variation.

The Nikkor 85mm Is amazing, but it does tend to overexpose a little compared to other lenses.

If I were in your situation ? I'd go for the Tamron.
