OK, Here is what I did, I used my 24-120 for a few months and them I bought the Nikon 17-55 2.8 lens, That lens is on my camera most of the time, I also have a 70-200 2.8vr, These are my most used lenses, I also have a Nikon 80-400vr and a 50mm 1.8 and a 10.5 fish, Using the 17-55 and the 70-200 is a great match for a great Camera (D200). I thought about getting a 18-200/300 and after looking around I went with the 17-55 and 70-200 for the better inage quality, I also have a 1.4 and a 2x TC if needed. I have also sold my 24-120, It was a great lens but didn't use it any more.
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming - ' Wow! What a ride!'
