a web site posted here shows the sigma 150mm macro for the
sony but that mount is not listed the the sone on sigma,s site?

i would like this lens (i have a 50mm minolta macro) but would like one with a longer focusing distance.

no, they make a 150mm 2/8 lens but not for the sony mount...maybe it was made for minolta but i cannot find that either!

I am very interested in the 150mm macro too. So far, all the tests an reviews are praising highly on the quality. Unfortunately, the A-mount is not on the list yet, and there is no word from Sigma when and if it will be available for A-mount.

Cheers,

The Sigma 150/2.8 never existed for the Minolta, or Sony mount. And what a shame! This is by far the best lens made by any third party manufacturer I have ever seen. Great build quality, and sharp, sharp, sharp. I love telephoto lenses in the 150-200mm range, and I would say this is one of the best ones.

I hope they make it for KM/Sony one day, but I guess the HSM motor was an integral part of the design from the start, and Sigma will not do a version without one... I guess we'll have to wait for Sony to get a still bigger share of the market before we see Sigma adapting HSM for the Sony system.
