Tamron 28-75 f2.8 XR or Nikon 85mm f1.8D?

I am trying to decide between the above to lenses and wanted to get some feedback on the IQ of both from people who might have used them.

I have a D80 with 18-135mm and a 50mm/1.8 along with a SB600. Going to shoot a friends wedding soon (there will be a PRO there as well).

Since it will be an indoors event, I was wondering if Tamron with its f2.8 would have any advantage over my current 18-135 when used with Flash.

If not, then maybe I can use my 18-135 in situations where I need zoom, and get the nikon 85mm for doing portraits.

Also, if Tamron will give me just as good portraits as the 85mm, then I might be better off getting that as I would not have to switch lenses during the event.

What do you think would be good for a wedding ?
