Other GPS mounting solutions

I built my GPS mount from an Adorama hot shoe adapter (adorama part #FAHSPCA), a small piece of ABS plastic cut to the size of the GPS, and some velcro.

I took the metal plate off the top of the adapter, drilled two holes in the piece of ABS, screwed the ABS plate on top of the adapter in place of the metal plate, then covered the ABS with velcro.

If I'd been more daring, I would have drilled two screw holes in the battery cover of the GPS and screwed the GPS directly to the hot shoe adapter.
