My First SD14 Images

Bill I wish I knew when you were coming to pick up the camera. I live not far from Sigma USA and work within a two minute drive from there. I would have liked to see you again. Enjoy that new baby!

I wish that I had known also, Peter S. I'd like to see you again too.

For everyone, my most significant first impression of the SD14 is the elegance and smoothness of the user interface. I like the placement of functions and menus. The most frequently used ones (e.g. white balance, ISO, resolution, and qulaity) are the easiest to access and use, on the fly. The button is right there where your right thumb normally is when using the camera. In a short time you won't even need to look to push the button and then press one of the four arrow keys to effect a quick change.

And even more important than that, I am already gaining the confidence that I can shoot anytime anywhere in any lighting conditions with this camera. I certainly NEVER felt that way with either the SD9 or SD10.

I'll post some more pics later tonight.

Best Regards,

BT
