With the help of Doug...

... I have a little Windows based batch file, that converts the .ORF into DNG, and writes the EXIF from the ORF to the DNG.

===

for %%f in ( .ORF) do "c:\Program Files\Adobe\DNG Converter\Adobe DNG Converter.exe" -c %%f

perl "c:\perl\ExifTool\exiftool.pl" -TagsFromFile %%d%%f.ORF -m -overwrite_original_in_place -ext DNG .
pause
del .dng_original
===

Since I'm neurotic (and harddisk space is cheap these days), I save the ORF in a Originals directory, and use the resulting DNG file as my workfile in Lightroom. The advantage of DNG is that keywords and development settings etc. can be written to the file itself, and you don't need to keep track of a sidecar file. If I still have a file where I feel Studio would deliver the best results (and yes, I do believe that's the case in some situations), I still have my ORF file to work on.
