AA-(antialiasing)-Filters / differences? / specifications? / Values?
I have experiences with Nikon D70, Canon 20D and Nikon D40.
It seems, that the Canon 20D and also the Nikon D40 do have less noise than the Nikon D70.
Nevertheless, it seems that the D70 have more details than the other two mentioned cameras.
Obviously, it is the weaker AA-(antialiasing)-Filter in the D70 that produces pictures with more details or (in other words) somethimes sharper pictures.
So, how can the D40 / D50 / D70 / D70s / D80 be compared regarding their AA-Filter?
Are there spcifications with values that can be compared?
Does the D40 really have a stronger AA-Filter or are the differences maybe only related to other used software algorithms?
I remember that there was a camera from Kodak where the AA-Filter could be exchanged.
Unfortunately there are not many cameras where this can be done.
