Your self portraits, please

Hmm...another self portrait thread. Cool, here's my entry taken with my trusty CP990 about 2 months ago.

As you can see there are two individuals in the photograph, me and my beautiful German Shepard, Beauty! She happened to be sitting there, and I thought it would make an interesting composition so I snapped it just before she moved out of the way!

Regards,

Hi Ed,

I didn't see a smiley face at the end of your message, but I assume you were joking.

If not, what is wrong with Australia?

Michael Offe,
South Aust.... err... I mean USA. :-)
Well, since it's in Australia - sure, abuse, er I mean use my
picture. Just be forwarned that it might scare others off!

YOU haven't given me much feedback yet! (except for a couple
of you)

I will start putting the Gallery online, PLEASE let me know (reply
to this thread) if you are happy with your picture being placed in
the Gallery along with your NTF name, and e-mail address.

> > > If I can't get any replies I will either e-mail each of you (a big job) or include your picture regardless (a smaller job), in which case it can be removed later if required.

Following Larry Berman's suggestion, I will add a copyright along
with your name and e-mail embedded along the bottom of the picture.

At this stage I think the web address will be...
http://www.magicbracket.com/NTFmembers

Or if you prefer...

http://www.magicbracket.com/NikonTalk

As soon as we decide on a web address, I will set-up an e-mail
address for you to all contact me about the Gallery.

> PLEASE take the time to let me know your opinion on this, and if you have any suggestions.

Thankyou,
Michael Offe,
South Australia.

Enclude me if you so desire. :) It sounds fun. We see each other's names on this forum so much, now we would be able to go to a single place and see a face for the name!

Hi Thomas,
I don't know the exact numbers, I haven't counted yet.

If you are referring to my comment on it being a big job to e-mail all the posters... I was thinking about the way you have to open every one's poster profile, then click e-mail, then go back again etc.

If it comes to e-mailing all the posters for their permission, would you like to do that part, then e-mail me the results (Name, permission granted and e-mail address)?

Just thought you may like to since you were also planning to set up the gallery.

Yours sincerely,
Michael Offe.

Michael,
Sure why not ...

So when are we gonna see that NTF discount for your brackets....
It had occurred to me... will se what we can do...

The only thing is that to be able to offer a discount, we may have to increase the standard price by 15% then offer a 10 - 15% discount for NTF members. The costs involved in production and our rock bottom minimal mark-up, make it very hard to discount. So we may have to keep prices as they are. :-)
looks like a cool little tool...

How about floating a demo across the pond... : )
I could try floating a demo across the pond... but last I heard aluminium sinks! :-) So king Neptune (or his photographer) may end up with a nice Accessory for his 995! Isn't it good that aluminium and Stainless steel don't rust! LOL
Aloha,

Michael,

will do...let's just wait for the swelling to go down & I will
submit another one (or maybe not i'll leave it as is - this isn't a
modelling contest! :-). Great idea btw.
Ummm...excuse me, but I thought this WAS a modelling contest. I was expecting to be called for a photo shoot in a MAJOR magazine. I've already quit my day job and installed another phone line. What a rip-off.

I can't see pic, just "Creating Thumbnails" Does any one know why this is?

Thanks,
Michael Offe,
South Australia.
I just worked out what is causing the problem, and only showing the "Creating Thumbnails"... it is my Norton Internet Security blocking it.

If I disable Norton Internet Security the photo will come up.

Yours sincerely,
Michael Offe,
South Australia.

OK, I have created a new Privacy rule for dpreview.com... now Norton Internet Security can be enabled and I can still see the photos.

This may not be the place to ask this question but since we are posting our self portraits...

We are a registered user of this forum, so I think, we do not have to signin everytime we want to post or visit. We tried to put our self portrait but all it shows is the web address. According to the instructions it will show the picture if you are a registered user. No such thing wit me. How do I do it?. Can postings be edited?

Thanks.

Hi hi8ha,
If you post the link like this it should work...
http://image.pbase.com/u7/halvarez/upload/1112500.me67self.JPG

See...

You need to insert the link to the actual file (usually has .jpg on the end), to do this open your gallery or web page where your picture is viewable.

Now right click on the picture, click properties, and copy the "Address URL" and that is what you past in here.

Hope this helps.

Yours sincerely,
Michael Offe,
South Australia.
Just trying to show the pictute in the post.

Hi All,

I am working on the Gallery, I may have it online tomorrow, but I'm not sure - will do my best.

I have set up an e-mail address for the Gallery and it is: [email protected]

If you want to e-mail me with your photo, permission to use it, any other details or suggestions please do so.

The Gallery's address will be http://www.magicbracket.com/ntfmembers

Yours sincerely,
Michael Offe.
