I really wish minolta users have some exchange channels from various language areas; it would be more easier for us to stay current and well informed.

however, I don't seem to get much response from the users.
and many are not confident with the credibility, especialy
the part that it is a design flaw.
they are not convinced because, in what they can see it only
states that improvement of the part.

I believe it's a flaw; too many cameras do exhibit this issue and what's more indicative Parts Modification List that we have access to has clearly stated the reason for modification. We can see "For efficient production" description where appropriate (for example we can see missing washers in AS assembly in original design; this may easily cause the whole assembly to get loose with time).

But in the case of the part causing first black frame the reason for a new part is clearly stated as a fix for err. 58 (on both 7D and 5D). Moreover, the date of this part modification for 7D is January 23. 2006; time when 7D has already been discontinued and not anymore in production.
