Here are a few shots of the Namib Desert from my D80. It was really beautiful, but I didn't have too much time . Comments and critques are very welcome!

Thanks,
tim

The look is almost surreal. What post processing did you do? Noise reduction?

Wow. The first and third are truly awesome. Great work!

It'll be a great day when schools get all the money they need and the Air Force
has to hold a bake sale to buy a bomber

It was surreal standing there ;)

I only used levels (on the RGB channels) -- in Aperture. I didn't do any noise reduction, but they are scaled down -- so that comes for free ;)

Tim, #1 and #3 are really nice. Great colours and composition. Well done. #2 looks a little 'thin' on my monitor. However, I find all of the images a little bit soft.

For all three, I prefer the unexpanded view over the expanded view.
You might try some experiments with cropping. ..You might even
milk two shots out of one that way!

But I do like them!

a different set of pics indeed, haven't seen many of these before.
did you use hyperfocal and stopped down apertures to shoot these?
they seem soft in places.
good comps and colours tho.

Very nice pics indeed. Great composition and wonderful colours. I would really enjoy seeing more, especially of ship wrecks and general scenes along the Skeleton Coast if you go that far.
Sunrises & sunsets in this region with those colours would be amazing!

Looks like a stunning place, you made a good expression, did you soften the last one? Thanks for sharing...
