The specs on the HP LP2065 now say it is an S-PVA monitor. Looks
like it changed from S-IPS. Is it still as good?

S-PVA is better for some things, worse for others.

S-PVA worse in that:

1. It has slightly more angle of viewing dependence than S-IPS

2. Straight on right angle viewing of colours is "odd".

S-IPS is worse in that:

1. It generally has less contrast ratio.

2. Very dark blacks appear purplish when viewed at an angle.

Either will do the job.
