Nikon D40 Review is up !!!

Unless using continuous AF I wonder if it really takes that
much power?

Perhaps Nikon has a time plan that includes a total
commitment to AF-S lenses and intends to move on from legacy lenses
and eliminate them from their continuous competition with their
current models.

Sure they want to sell a new AF-S lens for say $800 instead of having
people buy the same lens without AF-S on ebay or a 3rd party lens
for $400. It's in their interest, not so much in the photographers',
that's the similarity with the 300D.

Perhaps you will look back in a year from now and
realize the D40 is the most successful DSLR to come to market this
year.

Could be if people aren't getting proper information about its limitations.
