One month in Africa (pics)

I went to Mali and Burkina Faso with two friends of mine for one month as backpackers. Nothing had been organised before we left, so it was a real once in a lifetime adventure trip to two of the poorest countries in the world! During the entire trip we were always using public transportation means (usually buses or bush taxis).

Although I usually use a Canon DSLR I decided to buy the very compact Panasonic Fx-01 for this trip. It is very light camera and has a 28mm wide angle and image stabilizer as well.
Any kind of comments and critiques are welcome!

Some kids in Bamako, the capital of Mali:

This is what Bamako looks like:

Living conditions are absolutely terrible:

The famous mosque of Djenne:

Here we had some trouble with our taxi:

But fortunately there were lots of nice people passing by...

...or just doing the laundry...

That's where our taxi driver suggested to have lunch

And then we finally came to the famous Dogon land:

Yes, people were actually living here!

Some kids along the way singing a song for us and asking for money:

A short visit in one of the many Dogon villages:

For this shot I would have needed my good old 350d...

Now that's me

Thanks for looking!
