S6000fd/S6500fd tips & tricks

It seems about time to share shooting tips and other interesting things about this camera.

I am starting with a writeup of information I have gathered so far, from this forum (thanks people), and a lot from this web page: http://www.wolfgang-kronberg.de/home/f30.jsp (in German). There is also some own experience, some opinion (my $.02 cents of worth), but I tried to keep the latter to a minimum.

The S6x00fd has many things in common with the F30, not just its sensor, but also the larger part of its Firmware. It stands to reason that about everything said for the F30 applies to the S6x00fd as well, and my experience so far confirms this. The similarities are striking: The S6x00fd has the same annoying animation when you erase a single frame. (This shouldn't take longer than 0.01s, but with the animation it takes about 3s. This is definitely one of the camera's shortcomings, and I am happy to say that this is the shortcoming that bothers me most.)

Enough, let's get started.
