1Ds mk2 noise at ISO 1600
I have used both 5D and 1Ds Mark II for low light works, and i would like to say the both camera did good jobs, but the 5D is better...
With the 1Ds Mark II at ISO 1600, you don't need use the NR if the image is exposed correctly, for ISO 3200 if you print size is 8x10, the NR is still not necessary,,,
Another thought, if i shoot lots images at ISO3200, i usually shoot 1Ds Mark II at image quality M1 (of course jpg) to help reduce the noise, and the image looks great without the use of NR.
