The size is big but not that bad. At least it is lighter than my Rokunar 90/2.5 macro. I may need to dremel the petals off or something.

I do have a cr@p Sigma 28-90 but I like it. I use it in daylight, outside for action and events shooting, stopped down to F8. AF is so fast and accurate but the front element turns, the mount is plastic and it looks cheap. OTOH, everything fits well and it is very light. Color and contrast is a bit better than the kit lens and bokeh is quite good. It is soft on the sides. Not bad for $47 from KEH. What is funny is that the newer quantaray version is even faster on AF.

Sigma can make good lenses, I have seen photos from the 70-200 and I would like one as well.
