The SD14...Still just a prototype?

Apparently Sigma staff at photokina have been repeatedly stressing that the both the SD14 and DP1 units on display were prototypes.

Although real specs for the DP1 are sparse, what little info has been gained clearly seems to suggest that the DP1 is far more advanced than the SD14...The DP1's 230000 pixel LCD screen as opposed to the SD14's 150000 pixel screen for instance.

If this is true and the SD14 is still just a protoype then it might not be too late to suggest improvements that Sigma could make to the SD14 before it goes into full production.

Using the DP1's higher res screen is a must IMO, and given as memory is so cheap these days, a much bigger buffer memory too, say big enough to allow 20 shot bursts perhaps?

This would'nt effect the much critised low frame rate but it would help to silence critics on its low res screen and 6 shot buffer capacity.

However, if as I fear that SD14 production may already be well underway, any changes/improvents that could be made might therefore only be firmware/software based...And that would be a real shame and it could even spell disaster in marketing the SD14 with all the immense competition around now.
