0.7 x converter ?

Hi all, I am a newbie registered today.

Currently using all film (K1000, P30, PZ-1p), I am seriously looking at going digital. I am considering used istD, K100D or K10D (if Pentax UK price it correctly!) along with C and N offerings, but would prefer to use the lenses I have (Sigma AF 28-200 + SMC-M 28, 50, 135, 200).

I understand the benefits of the new DA lenses (smaller and lighter) but it seems to me the most obvious way of utilising the existing lens range is to introduce a 0.7x converter to fit between the lens and body.

Does anybody know if something like this exists or am I missing something? The nearest things I can find are wide angle converters that go onto the end of the lens, many of them up on eBay but I am dubious about them.

Any comments?

Thanks for reading,
