Good Old D70 in Rome (7 B&W photos)

should have said, this is excellent, the rest are good :D

I enjoyed the two girls in the alley almost as much, some of the others lack high contrast / brightness. I prefer a contrasty b&W, jst my poor tastes - sorry ... he-he
cheers.

Haha - I hope you have noticed that I was smiling while writing the previous post. :) I'm VERY glad you liked more than just one, Kevin! :) Lots of thanks again for your thoughts on my photos!!

Hello Piotr!

I really appreciated not only the Rome gallery, but basically your site and the pics in it!

At least the Italian pictures are very well captured, and reading another comment, I actually like the "weird" angles -> gives motion!

Thank you, Martino, for your views on my photos. It's great you liked my shots, despite their apparent weirdness! :) (just joking) I'm still learnig and trying to find my way.

hi.

Here comes my unprofessional and personal preferences biased critique:
does not work for me? What is this about?
nice!! Why b&w here?
does not work for me? What is this about? probably it would do it in color as well
nice. That works (even to me ) in b&w!
probably it's just my monitor but faar too much dark areas here. Eventhough the idea with the door way and the guy walking towards the building. B&W also works for me here.
again: Why b&w?
cool, but again: Why b&w? Did you shoot RAW? If so try boosting exposure a bit probably!

(You might have noticed that I am not too much of a B&W fan, but IMO it works well for certain scenes. )

Hi Ypsilon and many thanks for your c&c!!

My position is that it's better to 'feel' than to 'understand' photography. :) (But of course I don't claim it's the only 'right' way). That's why don't expect me to explain what my photos are about. :) All shots were taken deliberately, on purpose, and I wanted them ALL B&W this time. And the technical perfection was not always my greatest concern. :)

Best regards,
Piotr
