Flowerchild 2: show us your best flowers

Framer, first and last are special. The first is a nature modern sculpture and the last is so malinconic, conveys an emotion.
Do they have to be taken with a Panasonic camera?
Yes, there will be severe penalties for any non-panasonic shot posted here.... LOL, all flowers are welcome I guess. Thanks for sharing your pics.

Nothing artistic about it but I like the pin wheel form.

Which one has the better color rendition? Looks like the '50 has a slightly-darker shade...

Flower BIFs? Buds-in-Flight? :o)

That's a tough call. They were both shot under somewhat different lighting conditions and both were intentionally underexposed to bring out the contrast of the lighter center with the dark surrounding petals. I am not so sure that you could call either exactly correct considering. I do think the FZ-50 takes consistently sharper photos though so I give the edge to the 50.

Birds of Paradise are a flower are they not? It's not too much of a stretch from there....

I'm glad you ask. It's one of my favorites, called the Ice Plant, Scientific Name: Carpobrotus edulis. These bloom in pink, yellow, and white. I found it growing in the sand dunes. It is actually classified as an invasive pest plant, introduced from South Africa.
