1st Set of Lights (Photogenc StudioMax III)
I've been using the lights that are included in part of studio rental. They are getting old in the tooth so I decided to purchase my own.
I started with a Photogenic StudioMax III 320 W-S kit. It contains 2 320 W-S AC/DC liights, umbrellas, 24x30 softbox. etc. I also purchased a Photogenic snoots and grids package on Ebay. Decided to pay more for the AC/DC version so I can shoot outside with a Quantam or Photogenic battery.
I know that 320 is not a lot of power but I mainly do portrait (head & full body) so I'm hoping it is suffcient. If I continue with photography my though is to add a pair of PL 1250s and use the 320's for hair and background.
I'm having a bit of buyers remorse and thinking I should have gone directly to to the 1250's
Does anyone out there use the Photogenic? Did I just waste $750?
