There is no ISO3200. There is Hi0.3, Hi0.7 and Hi1.0.

The camera takes an ISO1600 shot, and pushes it 1 stop (i.e. electronic rather than analog amplification).

You can do the same in any raw processor (assuming it handles D80 files), but you can't do it with jpeg. So having these hi modes is useful for those who shoot jpeg in low light.
