Hi!

Is it normal that with Z740 I can make 60-100 shots with one charging? I use GP Powerbank 2500 mAh NiMh, with slow charger (takes about 24 hours to fully charge a set).

About half of my photos are done useing flash, I use mostly EVF (to save the power), and don't use continuous autofocus.
Do you think I need more powerfull batteries, or maybe a different charger?
What is your experience?

I've got an energizer 15 minute charger, and 2500 mAH batteries. I've never really kept track of how many pictures I can take per charge, but I've always taken a few spares with me. Though I recall being able to take more than 100 shots per charge. But then again, I mostly shoot landscape shots outside with no flash. (I use the LCD).

Battery performance does degrade over time. My original batteries after a year were unable to give enough power to take 15 shots. So you might try new batteries. But I've gotten used to carrying spares around with me.

Well, I bought mine a few months ago, so that should not be a problem...

I only get that many shots as well with my Z700, especially if using the flash.

Have a great day, afternoon or evening wherever you are. :-)

That's what I wanted to hear :-)

So, the "cure" is: buy another set of batteries and always take a spare with you... and keep shooting!

Thanx!

I usually get a lot more shots than that with my Z700,but I seldom use flash cause I like natural lighting and I use the viewfinder ( though it´s not 100 % accurate) a lot more than the LCD.The Z700 is my 2nd Kodak camera, and I find it now just great. Here´s a picture of it I took on my CX 6330 for a local store here.Doesn´t it have a professional touch?I can´t understand the Dpreview reviews of Kodak cameras.Best wishes.Yod

Yes indeed. NEVER stop shooting.

I've taken over 20000 pictures on my Z740 (its gone to 100_9999 and rolled over twice.)

I can see why Kodak has switched to Li-Ion for their newer cameras, I've never had to really carry spares for my P880 and V570, but I usually carry around at least four pairs of fresh batteries for my Z740.

Good shooting babu!
