Pentax K100D is now in the top 20 of cams a dpreview

Hallo,
it is the first that a Pentax DSLR is in the top 20 of dpreview cameras.

the last time, 4 years ago, the Pentax Optio S was for a short time in the top 20.

There is also a lot of discussion about the K100D in other forum. It seems that Pentax has a real winner.

There is interest in the camera and activity in the Pentax forum as it has a feature many users had on their Fixed Lens Cameras cameras, IS. Plus I wonder how many X-Pentaxers are returning to the stable to buy the new camera.

Actually it is not the first time that a Pentax DSLR has appreaer in the top 20 on dpReview.

The DL appeared for about a week in July 2005 and rose to 18th position.

The K100D has been on the top 20 cameras for 5 days in the last two weeks and has risen to 16th place. It would only take a little bit more interest to see it rise even higher.

These are exciting times for Pentax, and a release of another camera, K10D, would see interest rise further.

On the actual placing of Pentax as a cemera brand, Pentax used to sit between 10 and 8 on the dpReview scale, but has now risen to 7th place. There is quite a leap to catch the 6th place, which is currently occupied by Olympus.

I don't know whom to blame but it's a pity that K100D has not been reviewed by Phil yet. For how long would a new C*non stay without a review?
