Hi all,
Here is this mornings effort.

I'm normally a slacker when it comes to getting up early. Thankfully I worked a night shift and took my E-10.

I finally understand what people say about magic light.

Now I know what I'm missing I'll have to make the effort to get out more often.

Oh yeah and I've started malking poster prints, postcards and a Calender to sell at our local Roadhouse (Gas Station) got some really good comments from people.

I'm making the prints using an epson 1270 on A3 Film Glossy and Super A3 for Black and white shots.--Dean

I used 4 shots to get it.

Been working on another but the stiching wasn't working well,
Stiched 2 together then another 2 then stiched the result of both
I'll upload it to see what you think.

Hi all,
Here is this mornings effort.
Dean,

Very pretty. I notice you stitched it with Camedia Master. How many
shots did you use?

Dean,

Outstanding job! They look great in panorama. Now it inspires me to get some panorama shots going.(If I can wake up just like you :)

Keep it up.

Your dawn clouds are very magic to me!! Here in Southern Arizona we have a clear blue sky almost 90% of the time... Dawn and dusk last, maybe, 10-20 minutes --- it's like God has a light switch to turn the day on and off!!! Thanks for the images --- they're great! jim

Dean,

Your photos are certainly magical. An inspiration to people like me, who can only hope to capture nature the way you can.

Thank you for sharing.

(PS - what white balance setting did you use? 5500?)

Dean,

That is a glorious shot indeed! The pano work also looks seamless. I would think you can get poster sizes out of this shot as I have made 25X36 of one shot. It's these type of shots that will certainly encourage one to get up earlier! Thanks for sharing.

SO Glad to hear people like them,

you guessed it WB was set to 5500.

Arrived at work at the same place last night jast as a magical thunderstorm passed through. There was some awesome lightening but by the time I got organized I'd missed it.

Thanks for the feedback

Just got in this morning.

I realize how lucky I was. This morning It was a cloudy and washed sunrise that wasn't much good for anything.

Dawn that day seemed to come on for about an hour. I was wondering If I would have enough room to save all the different changes I was seeing

Hey LesDMess Thanks for the encouragement,

I plan on getting a roll of paper for the Epson 1270 so I can really get a few more good panorama prints,

Any one got hints on a good paper to use??

Thanks Dean

You don't know how disappointed I feel! I am hoping that you will get another opportunity to exercise your photographic skills in capturing a lightning storm. What an incentive to go to work!

Thanks also for responding to my WB question - I'll keep mine set on 5500 for sunsets/sunrises/storms from now on!

Wow! I must have missed this post earlier. Talk about being at the right place at the right time. The cloud formation is stunning. Don't get to see that very often.

I tried embedding the photo in the post, but your server doesn't seem to allow that.
Keep up the great work.

Regards
