Diffusion material for deer light?

Hey all,

I am buying a deer light at Wal Mart today to take with me for certain shots at weddings, after being inspired by Parker Pfister on the Photovision wedding DVDs. To diffuse the light he uses a Mini-Apollo softbox. I dont have time to buy one before my wedding this weekend and was wondering what I might use to diffuse it.

Its a round light source, similar to big flashlight. There is a front ring that pops off so I could make a circular cut out of some type, place it on the light, then snap the ring back down over it. Question is what material? Whats good at diffusing light? I was thinking something like wax paper, but thought I would ask here for ideas. Of course I can test all types myself but if you've got an idea I'd appreciate it!!

Thanks!
