CCD repair delays worse in Europe?

I've been waiting 2 months for a faulty CCD on my Dimage 7i to be replaced. Have folk in other parts of the world had better experience?

The UK repair agents for KM say it appears to qualify under Sony's mass recall of a batch of faulty CCDS (supplied to a range of camera makers), and have sent it off to Germany, but there's 300 cameras from UK alone in the queue, as the German repair centre is not getting enough CCDs. The UK reair agents are as helpful as they can be, but can't say how much longer it will take.

Sony UK, who do not deal with KM repairs, say they have plenty of replacement CCDS for Sony cameras needing repair under the mass recall, and a turn round time of about 10 days.

So this makes me wonder whether KM are at the back of the queue, or whether there's some other problem in Europe. I'd be grateful to hear others' experience.
