D2X & Micro Nikkor 55mm f2.8 problem
The lens is wide open with every shot I take, even if I turn the
aperture ring on the lens to other apertures like f32.
Sticky oil on aperture blades preventing them from closing? Bjørn Rørslett writes:
"The f/2.8 design is extremely prone to getting lubrication onto its aperture blades to make the aperture stick unexpectedly when shooting."
There have been threads here how to clean the blades.
I have purchased a used 55/2.8 myself but fortunately my copy works well so far.
