proud new *ist DS owner
Just wanted to say hi to everyone. Been reading a lot on these forums and it was a lot of help in helping me decide on a digital SLR. I had the chance to score a used DS w/ Sigma 18-125mm, cable shuter, SD card and cir. pol filter off ebay - and score I did, with kit and kaboodle for $625. Now it's just a matter of taking lots of pictures.
I come from shooting with Canon (A1, Elan II) and MF with a Pentax 67. I couldn't believe how large the digital files can enlarge to while still retaining quality. The thing that I did notice is that the autofocus is a bit more finicking on the pentax and can end up a bit soft if you're not careful.
Not much experience in the darkroom, and digital PP just adds a completely new dimension to creative control. Lots to learn but looking forward to it and sharing thoughts with the other members on this forum.
Some initial experiments posted below. Comments are appreciated!
