Two views on Paris Gay Pride.

By two views, I don't mean you point of view regarding the lifestyle but rather the perspective of the photographers. Some may have forgotten that this is a photography forum.

Here's the gallery from Patrick Micheletti that has already been deleted twice. http://www.pbase.com/isogood/the_gay_pride&page=all

For comparison, here is a gallery from the same event by Eric Le Parc. http://www.pbase.com/eleparc/paris_gay_pride_june_2006&page=all

I have already said it twice but I found Patrick's composition too tight for this type of event. It was hard for me to get a sense of the event. By framing wider and with more variety of zoom angles, Eric was able to convey a more complete story of the parade.

By the way, Eric has made a lifestyle choice that many here may not agree with. He chose to shoot with a Nikon. Not that there's anything wrong with that. Some have argued that shooting Nikon was not a choice but that's an argument for another thread.
