A couple of other points to remember too in case they have not been mentioned.

1. Meteor count goes up later in the evening, actually early in the morning - between 2am and 4am because the earth is turned more into the path of the oncoming dust.

2. This year the moon is a few days past full so it will be very bright and in the sky all night. This means you'll need to keep your exposures short - under 45sec-1min.

3. Something in the foreground makes the photos a little more interesting and gives it a bit of depth. Trees, house, bridge... anything like that.

4. Find the darkest skies you can. You'll need all the help you can get to offset that moon.
