Cokin P007

Great! Does the P007 only come in one size? any idea what size it is?

Yes the P007 only comes in one size. It is a rectangular filter made to fit in Cokin P series holders. You buy the filter holder and an adapter that screws into the front of your lens -- the holder then slides on over the adapter. The adapters are available in many sizes.

There are several othe filters suitable for IR work. One of the more popular is the Hoya R72, which is available in standard (round screw in) sizes. If you want a 77mm R72, be prepared to open your wallet. It's close to $300 -- even at B&H.

I bought one on eBay, from a dealer in Hong Kong, for about $140. I use it alot on my D70, but haven't yet tried it on my new D200.
