Re: D200 and IR

I have tried the Cokin P-series 007 filter, which is nominally classified as an 89B. The D200's sensitivity is much lower than the D70 or D100, causing a need for seriously increased ISO or much longer shutter speeds.

I believe a conversion would be a better way to go, but I'm not going to commit my D200 to fulltime IR. I am thinking about going to a conversion by Lifepixel.

For the record, either a D70 or D100 is MUCH more sensitive to IR, with the D100 being the most sensivtive.

Good Luck and enjoy! Oh Yeah - before investing mega bucks for a Hoya R72 in 77mm, the cokin filter runs about $50 for the P-series size.
