Just got the SD700 earlier this week. One thing I dislike about all the Canon point and shoot cameras I've ever owned is that they seem to favor and almost orangish/yellow, very warm color cast. It makes skin colors look fake, in my opinion.

Anyway, by setting the camera to the "neutral" color setting, I get the colors that look most natural to me.

So that solves the issue of colors for me with this camera but I do prefer the images to be sharper so I would like to turn the sharpening up. To do that, you have to set the camera into custom color mode and increase the sharpening. My question is what are the settings for "neutral" so I can set them in the custom color mode along with the increased sharpening?

On my Powershot S80, I too notice the color distortion. My Powershot S50 seemed fine at the default settings. But with my S80, I especially notice green landscapes looked oversaturated/bright/unrealistic. Wonder if this is due to the Digic II processor. I will try the neutral color setting to try to correct this.
