Have discovered, as others have already mentioned, that the Canon
software for converting RAW files is painfully slow on a Mac. I
gather many people use BreezeBrowser, but as far as I can tell,
this is a Windows only program. Any advice for a suitable
alternative for the Macintosh?

I use a shareware program called GraphicConverter on my Mac to manipulate my graphic files. Since I don't have any RAW files, I can't test if it works from RAW to JPEG or TIFF. But it converts files from other formats (JPEG, TIFF, etc.) into RAW, so I assume it can open RAW files. It's a great little program. Thanks for the suggestion - however I tried GraphicConverter, and although it works with RAW files, it doesn't recognize the Canon version of RAWI use a shareware program called GraphicConverter on my Mac to
manipulate my graphic files. Since I don't have any RAW files, I

There were two files on Canons site- one was Vers 3.7 and the other was a file explaining how to turn off the color filter in PS-unfortunately the file was formatted for a PC-but I was able to decipher it and make it work-there was a big improvement-but you have to open the files in PS using the new Canon digital plug-n(make sure you trash the old one) Hope this helps. It was installed from my G2 CD.

I'm curious as to how to make the PC file work for my Mac. Also,
if there's a newer plugin off the G2 CD, why wouldn't it be
available on Canon's website- maybe it won't work with the G1? I
shoot quite a few Raw images- it takes about 20 or more seconds to
convert through my plugin in Photoshop. I have a Sawtooth G4/350.
