Re: Is there an improvement in A2 image quality over the 7i ?

I moved from a 7hi to an A2.

As said, everything's moved, so there's a learning curve but the changes are just about all improvements. Especially in manual - the two jog wheels make changing shutter and aperture MUCH easier. The EVF is great, and I wouldn't like to be without the AS. Yes - at low ISO the quality is better. The camera seems to make good use of the extra 3MP. I sold my 7hi to a colleague. Interesting - he was taking some candid shots in a church recently at ISO 400 with the 7hi, and the results were extremely sharp. I'm not sure I could match them with the A2, although it would be interesting to compare - especially if I resized the A2 down to 5MP to match.

I certainly haven't regretted the upgrade, and have no intention of changing my A2 until one of us expires.
