The National Weather Service said 26.9 inches of snow fell in Central Park, the most for a single storm since record-keeping started in The old record was 26.4 inches in December 1947.

I love snow, it makes things look so clean and pristine.....at least for the first day.

Snow covered grounds leads to some very nice colorations at night.

Hi RFC:

Another great series. I love the bench, too. I thought at first that the picture failed to load, and I did not know what was coming until I expanded it to see the bench.

You did a good job getting around in the snow. This storm reminds me of the big Washington's birthday storm of many years ago.

Love the bench shot too! I thought you were illustrating the "white out" condition people talk about while being in a blizzard. Sorry, I'm a California native! Your panos continue to amaze me as well. Thanks for sharing.

Why is there no snow on the bench? If someone cleared it off, they got every last speck and left no footprints behind. I suppose it could have blown away, but this was a soggy snow--the kind that typically piles up without blowing away. At least that's how it was here in PA.

Nice shots!!!
