Kung Hei Fat Choy! (6 pics F11)

We just had the Chinese New Year. It’s the most important traditional festival, during which people enjoy a real good break after a year of hard work. Apart from celebrating family reunion, meeting and greeting friends, people nowadays also like to eat out, watch movies and do shopping … No wonder a prominent shopping centre such as the Harbour City / Ocean Terminal was such a hustle and bustle. While my family was enjoying shopping inside, I took the opportunity to do some shooting outside:

1. “People Mountain People Sea” This is a “Chinglish” (Chinese+English) phrase we love to use in describing such scene. @ F2.8, 1/60s, ISO 80, EV -2/3

2. “People Mountain People Sea” (II) @ F3.4, 1/13s, ISO 200, EV -2/3

3. “Red Lanterns and Gold Coins” A symbol of good fortune and prosperity. @ F3.7, 1/42s, ISO 200, EV -2/3

4. “Red Lanterns and Gold Coins” (II) @ F3.7, 1/28s, ISO 200, EV -2/3

5. “Solitaire” This is certainly an unexpected image to be found in such a crowded place. I have no idea what he’s thinking … @ F3.6, 1/34s, ISO 200, EV -1

6. “Reflex Action” Every time I try to shoot my daughter, she’ll shoot me back with the F10 automatically, and vice versa @ F3.2, 1/6s, ISO 200, EV -2/3

Comments and advice much appreciated.

Best regards,
HP
