Why I decided to leave my TS-E movements perpendicular.

The shift movement, it turns out, is very handy for making panoramas and the perpendicular tilt movement compliments this by helping to keep those vistas in focus. If I change it so they're parallel then it won't be nearly as useful in this respect.

Are there any compelling reasons that I should change it so they're parallel? Maybe something that I'm missing?
