The Street Scenes that … (10 pics F11)

had stopped me on the way to my office, or to attend a meeting … I “had to” take these photos despite being in a hurry.

1. “Dilapidating” (Wing Hing Street) A typical pre-war building of multi-ownership, with which quite some environmental and social issues are associated … @ F2.8, 1/60s, ISO 400, EV -1/3

2. “Closing Sale” (Mercury Street) Sad to witness another beautiful traditional store being forced out of business … @ F2.8, 1/60s, ISO 400, EV -1/3

3. “A Picture” (Hospital Road) Sometimes I feel that “a picture takes me rather than I take a picture”; this is an example. @ F2.8, 1/27s, ISO 400, EV -1

4. “Can you ever walk properly?!” (King George V Memorial Park) Watching these children certainly brings back the memories of a happy childhood. @ F2.8, 1/17s, ISO 400, EV -2

5. “Retirement Life” (The City Hall) How nice to spend an afternoon like this! Having a chess game under the warm sun with an old friend, supported by fascinated spectators … @ F3.2, 1/34s, ISO 80, EV -1/3

6. “Wanchai Road” Don’t know why but some colourful posters on a pillar and an aging building did stop me going … @ F4, 1/70s, ISO 80, EV -1/3

7. “Oops, I didn’t mean to shoot you!” (Wanchai Road) @ F2.8, 1/100s, ISO 80, EV -1/3

8. “Typhoon Coming Soon!” (Lockhart Road) I thought the typhoon had already come … @ F5, 1/50s, ISO 80, EV -1/3

9. “A Stop” (Luard Road) This is supposed to be a bus stop. @ F2.8, 1/90s, ISO 80, EV -1/3

10. “Charisma” (Garden Road) Quite a charm, isn’t it? Can you resist? Not me. Moreover, I always want to photograph policemen and I could shoot these two in the distance quite comfortably … @ F5.6, 1/150s, ISO 80, EV -2/3

Comments and advice much appreciated.

Best regards,
HP
