I have been saving for a while and I really want to SPEND! I havn't bought any Oly stuff for over a year. So please, Olympus, give us a new great camera!

Twenty years ago I told my wife I was going to make money with my camera and she say, "What are you going to to sell it?"

Well I have made my living either full time or part time with my cameras for 20 years now, and I also got a new wonderful wife seven years ago. There's a moral to this story, but I'm not suggesting that you take action.

Well if they actually want to sell any, $2K or less. Fujifilm has
reduced the price of the S3 to that level, and the Nikon D200 is
$1700.

Depends on how good it is.

If it is compareable to a D2X for excample it will sell at a similar price point of course.

If it is just as good as a D200 it will have to sell for a similar price to this model...
 
FACT, there is one teenager in my household that has completely lost access to my PC. It seems she overheard a private business conversation about some raw data software that is being composed for a certain product on the horizon. This may have compromised my employment. ADMIN please delete this “thread”.

Umm various places have mentioned January 26th to be Olympus day. In the past few years, the announcements are usually spread over a month before the actual show, and generally there seems to be a gentleman's agreement between the majors that each company gets a day to announce their stuff, and nothing major will be announced by the competitors on that day. Ie, if Canon were to announce the 30D or 1D mark3, it wouldn't be on the same day Olympus announces the E-3. IIRC, by the time the actual show comes on, most of the major announcements have already been made (though there are often times secondary announcements or announcements from 2nd tier companies made at the show). This is in contrast to shows like CES where most of the announcements are made at the show itself.
 
This is getting more humorous by the moment. Best entertainment I had all morning. 8-)

Obviously you need to mail Phil and the admin staff directly to kill the thread.

As somebody who works in an industry with NDAs and works on freely available software, so I have to tread a fine line at times, I hope things go well for you. Good luck, and hopefully you won't lose your job, and your teenager will learn something (I just had to come down hard on mine for installing a file sharing program).

You don't have any other info.

Fact, anyone here could say that Oly will announce a new DSLR at PMA and claim that they can't give out any more info. Even if it's not ready to ship until the spring, it will be announced at PMA.

How about giving use some real facts. Whats the megapixel count?

A photo taken with it, no need for photos of it, then I'll believe you.

Will it have any kind of image stabilization? Just a yes or no so you can say I told you so on the 26th of January or whenever.
