H1 - why 72 dpi?

Hi

I just purchased the H1 to replace my stolen Nikon coolpix 5400. I like the camera OK but miss some features of the Nikon.

Perhaps some of the H1 gurus can help me overcome my disappointment.

I was surprised upon opening images in photoshop that photos were 72 dpi and 36 x 27 inches! So do I have to resize everything to get 300 dpi 8x10's or is there a way to set the camera to save the pictures at usable size?

I prefer to shoot without flash, but was not impressed with the camera's performance last evening at a local pub. Pics were too dark (I tried lots of options) and there was lots of noise after lightening them in photoshop.

Any suggestions are welcome. I have 10 days to return if not satisfied.

Thanks
Deb
