the high ISO difference, at least with my A2, between JPEG and RAW when processed with Raw Shooter Essentials (free, by the way), is startling. Even comparing the shots after noise reduction. With the 1.14 upgrade for faster RAW writing, and RSE, the A2 is now a whole new camera, totally capable of clean ISO400 and really good ISO 800.

So... I think you can get much better results with RAW.

Wish I had some samples to attach, but they're on my other computer.
