It was Cold but ...

John,

Where exactly is your cabin?
Edinburg, near Northville, southern Adirondacks.
I remember going to skool, struggling
uphill in a blizzard with nothing on but my pyjamas and 60 pounds
of school books, when it was 30 below zero in January and still
dark in the morning, and the snow was way deep, much above my head
and whole villages disappeared...;).
200 inches over the season...
but sixteen feet? in the east? Why I don't remember anything 'buv
9 feet back during the blizzard of 64.
Near by, in a town called Benson, is the premier cross country sking location in the North Country. It is called Lapeland Lake. It is there because we get so much snow in this area.
Nice shot. (But still, we shouldna pull the legs of them folks
from away too much, they might not believe that grass grows up here
in the great white north).
If you follow the info at that ski area you can see the totals as they happen.

Thanks
John D.

Gosh.

I stand corrected. If Buffalo can get 10 feet in two days, well, the Adirondacks can too. And I'll bet there are some hills down there that you can use gravity to help you ski with to.

Good shots.

--Boy do I hate winter. Looks like great country up there. I took a similar picture of my backyard last winter. Try to stay warm John.
